Fred J. Ciavola Jr.

LANCASTER - Fred J. Ciavola Jr., 55, of Bedford, formerly of Lancaster and Winchendon, died Sunday, March 9, in the Lahey Clinic, Burlington, after an illness.

He is survived by his mother, Julia T. "Julie" (Kosinski) Ciavola of Lancaster; a brother, Steven M. Ciavola and his wife, Holly, of Lake Worth, Fla.; two sisters, Ellen M. Ellsworth and her husband, William, of Orange, and Jeanne F. Harlow and her husband, Shane, of Lock Port, Ill.; seven nieces and nephews, two grandnieces, two grandnephews, aunts and cousins.

He was born in Clinton, son of the late Fred J. Ciavola, and was raised in Lancaster. He was a graduate of Nashoba Regional High School, Class of 1970, and attended Bentley College, before enlisting with the U.S. Navy, where he studied Polaris/Poseidon electronics.
