Boys' soccer

St. John's 3, Doherty 1: Adam French scored two first-half goals, and Kyle Archambault tallied after halftime to boost the host Pioneers (2-0). Mario Zguro scored for the Highlanders (0-1).

Bartlett 4, Leicester 0: Sophomore Anthony Grzembski scored the first two goals, and freshman Owen Simonis and senior Kody Morio added tallies as the host Indians (3-0, 3-0 SWCL) topped the Wolverines (1-1, 1-1). Bartlett senior Brian Tondel had six saves to post the shutout.

Bancroft 2, Rocky Hill 0: Senior Ethan Palermo scored in the 50th minute, and classmate Mike Lyons added an insurance goal in the 71st minute as the host Bulldogs won their season opener. Junior Claudio Ferrari posted the shutout.

Burncoat 4, Holy Name 1: Nathan White, Richmond Antwi, Brandon Kania and Obed Boateng scored for the host Patriots (1-0). Haidar Mohammed had two assists. Benjamin Babbitt scored for the Naps (0-1-1).

Clinton 6, Lunenburg 1: Felipe Bispo scored three goals, while Eben Philbin had a goal and three assists and Jeff Tetreault a goal and two assists to lead the host Gaels (1-0) past the Blue Knights (1-1). Bruno Padilha had a goal and assist for Clinton. Kaden Wood scored for Lunenburg.

Grafton 2, Uxbridge 2: Ryan Morais scored with three minutes left to pull the visiting Spartans (0-2-1) into a tie with the Indians (1-1-1). Uxbridge's Alex Kuros also scored. Paul Plichon and Kyle Scanlon had Grafton's goals.

Millbury 2, Auburn 0: Junior Haedar Hakem scored in the first minute and assisted on junior Liam O'Shea's goal in the 44th minute for the host Woolies (2-1). Senior Ryan Fitzpatrick made eight saves for the shutout.

Narragansett 4, Monty Tech 1: Austin Myers had two goals and Ryan Laine had a goal and three assists to lead the host Warriors (2-0) past the Bulldogs (0-1). Scott Page added a goal for Narragansett, while Monty Tech scored on an own-goal.

Oxford 2, David Prouty 2: Senior Connor St. Germain scored in the 73rd minute to give the host Pirates a 2-2 tie. Senior Deon Poth also scored for Oxford (0-2-1). Senior Austin Fitman scored on a penalty kick, and freshman Evans Soter had the other goal for David Prouty (0-0-2).

Parker 1, St. Bernard's 1: Dan Jokela gave the visiting Bernardians (0-1-1) the lead in the eighth minute, but Tommy Dugan tied the score in the 45th minute to give the Panthers (0-0-1) a draw.

Valley Tech 3, Blackstone-Millville 2: Senior Zack Leung's goal with two minutes left broke the 2-2 tie for the visiting Beavers (2-0-1). Valley Tech's Charles Brodeur and junior Jared Morin also scored. Tyler Brabham and Brendan Theroux tallied for the Chargers (1-2).

Wachusett 2, South 0: Junior Tim Alzamora and senior Ben Amaral scored, while junior Oliver Salvas (1 save) earned the shutout to lift the host Mountaineers in the opener for both teams..

Gardner 9, Fitchburg 0: Emily Deprima had two goals and two assists and Tsara LeBlanc had two goals and an assist to lift the host Wildcats (1-0). Kierra Caissey had two goals and Taylor Freitas, Autumn Ouellette and Lindsay Flick each had one. Miranda Raimon had three assists and Erin Mack had two. Sam Riggins and Brianna Cosgrove each made three saves in the shutout. Fitchburg is 0-1.

Grafton 2, Uxbridge 0: Erin Tyldesley and Olivia Coveney scored to spark the visiting Indians (1-1) past the Spartans (1-2). Laurin Lyver made six saves for the shutout.

Leicester 7, Bartlett 0: Sophomores Talia Borci and Shannon Prouty each had two goals and an assist, Borci's first goal coming 50 seconds into the game as the host Wolverines (1-1) rolled past the Indians (0-3). Junior Madison Sherman (2 saves) posted her first shutout of the season.

Leominster 3, Oakmont 1: Junior Sophie Derry scored three goals in the second half to lead the host Blue Devils in their opener. Leominster's Lexi Foster made 12 saves. Abby Tata scored for the Spartans.
