Alleged carjacker indicted by grand jury

A Leominster man has been indicted in an alleged carjacking at knife point in Framingham last year.

Jonathan Gonzalez, 23, of Leominster, no address given, is charged with carjacking, armed robbery, assault with a dangerous weapon (a knife), larceny of a motor vehicle, malicious destruction of property, and breaking and entering into a vehicle in the nighttime. Mr. Gonzalez, who lived at 12 Kings Row, Framingham, at the time of the September incident, was indicted this month by a Middlesex grand jury.

The indictment alleges that Mr. Gonzalez stole a car at knife point from an employee at a health care center in Framingham around 2 a.m. Sept. 27.

The employee, a 34-year-old man, left work and allegedly found Mr. Gonzalez standing next to the car with the door open. When the employee questioned him, Mr. Gonzalez allegedly pulled out a knife, and demanded the keys and money.

He was arrested a few minutes later, driving the Ford Contour. Police found a knife and cash under the seat.
