Clinton 4, Marlboro 1: Cassie Morrison and Sydney Knoll won singles matches, while Faith Perez and Alex Rogers and Lisania Mandracchia and Lexa Souza swept doubles wins as the ninth-seeded Gaels (11-6) won their first tournament game in school history in the first round of the Division 1 Tournament.
Clinton plays at Westboro at 3:30 p.m. today in a quarterfinal.
Doherty 3, South 2: Alana Wyatt and Nicole Phan posted wins at first and second singles, respectively, and Rachael Flynn and Alena Grilla clinched the match for the 10th-seeded Highlanders (10-7) over the No. 7 Colonels (11-6) with their win at first doubles.
Doherty faces No. 2 Shrewsbury in a Div. 1 quarterfinal at 3 p.m. today.
Vivian Lam won at No. 2 singles, while Iva Hoxha and Nicole Alkes won at second doubles for South.
Hopedale 4, Oakmont 1: Gabbi Dos Ramos and Maddie Sparks won singles matches, while Camryn Dias and Nina Rossi and Demiah Schluph and Emily Kincaid won doubles matches as the No. 17 Blue Raiders (11-8) topped the host No. 7 Spartans (9-6).
Hopedale travels to play No. 2 Sutton (14-1) at 3 p.m. Monday in a Division 3 quarterfinal.
Leicester 3, Uxbridge 2: Rachael Meyers and Alana Wright posted victories at second and third singles and Katie Kozlowski teamed with Beth Trucheon to win a three-set match at first doubles as the eighth-seeded Wolverines (11-7) beat the No. 9 Spartans (9-8) in a Division 3 first-round matchup in Leicester.
The Wolverines play at top-seeded Quaboag in a quarterfinal at 3 p.m. on Sunday.
Shepherd Hill 4, Tantasqua 1: The sixth-seeded Rams (14-3) got wins from Callie Mulcahy and Victoria Crowe at singles, while Steph Gallant and Bri Boris, and Debra Chevalier and Katie Konieczny won doubles matches to top the No. 11 Warriors (10-7) in Dudley.
Shepherd Hill faces No. 3 St. Peter-Marian at 3 p.m. today in a Div. 1 quarterfinal at WPI.
