The verdict is in on Mats Zuccarello's from-behind hit on Jonathan Cheechoo in Hartford Friday night and the Sharks are not very pleased with it.

Zuccarello was suspended for one game; Cheechoo missed two games over the weekend with a bruised kidney and there is no timetable for his return.

"It's a travesty," Sharks coach Roy Sommer said. "It doesn't matter if it's one of our guys or a guy on another team. If you do something like that, you have to pay for it. It's like robbing a bank - you should get what you deserve."

On the play, Cheechoo was racing for a puck that had been cleared behind the Connecticut net and Zuccarello was right behind him. Cheechoo was off balance when Zuccarello pushed him. The Sharks' forward went crashing into the boards.
