CLINTON Gilberto Melendez, 42, of Worcester, died Sunday, September 25, 2011 at UMass Memorial Medical Center. He is survived by two children, Anthony Melendez Brancaccio and Gilberto Melendez Brancaccio; ten siblings, Jose, Celso, Carmen and Maximo Torres, Angel, Maria V., Reinaldo, Maria M., Victor and Edwin Melendez. He leaves his fiancee, Margaret Ashe, her children, Mandy, Corbett and Brian Ashe, numerous extended family members and many dear friends. He is pre-deceased by his brother Hector Torres.

Gilberto was born in Puerto Rico to the late Arcadia and Carlos Melendez. His family immigrated to the United States at a young age and settled in Brockton, where he attended local schools and graduated from Brockton High School.
