HOLDEN/WORCESTER Harold "Hal" J. Duffey, 88, died Saturday, August 8th, in the Beaumont Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center. He most recently lived in Worcester with his wife, Rita M. (Costello) Duffey, who predeceased him in 2005. They resided in Holden most of their married life and enjoyed 54 loving years together with their family and friends.

Mr. Duffey leaves his daughters, Terry Ann McKeon and Patty Garabedian and her husband Peter; four grandchildren and their families, Timothy and Brian McKeon and Patrick and Michael Garabedian. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Mary Costello of New York. He is predeceased by his son, Leo Duffey in 2002 and his brother, Edward Duffey in 1972.

Hal was born and raised in Troy, NY by his loving parents, Harold E. and Margaret E. (Finn) Duffey. He graduated from Catholic Central High School in Troy, NY and the State University of New York. He also attended the US Naval Academy at Annapolis, MD and received his master's degree in education from Worcester State College.
