Helen (Parker) deBruyn, 98.

BRIMFIELD Helen (Parker) deBruyn, 98, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2011 at Radius Healthcare Center of Southbridge with her family at her side.

Born August 1, 1913 in Hardwick, MA, she was the daughter of Sumner R. and Inez J. (Doane) Parker. Growing up in Amherst and having a second family home in Brimfield, Helen lived in the Hartford area and with her husband, raised her son in Wayland, MA before moving to Rockville, MD, where she resided with her husband for 30 years. In 1997, Helen and her husband relocated back to Brimfield and for the past 7 years, she has resided at Radius Healthcare Center of Southbridge.

After graduation from Colby Junior College, Helen worked at a bookstore and went on to marry Peter R. in 1942. During her time in Wayland, she was an assistant librarian in the high school.
