Henry Joseph CoffeyPrinceton, MA - Henry Joseph Coffey died on August 26, 2014 at the age of 94. A lifelong Red Sox fan, he died peacefully at home a few hours after the Red Sox beat the Blue Jays, 4 to 3, ending an eight-game losing streak.Born April 24, 1920, in Providence, RI, Henry was a Providence College graduate, Class of 1942, and an Army veteran (1942-1946), ending his service as captain with an anti-aircraft division in the Philippines. In 1947 he married his one true love, Edna Hope Weeks Coffey, who died in 1975. In 1971 he earned an MBA from Rutgers University. Henry lived in Rhode Island, Holden and Princeton, MA and, since 2000, Reno, NV.Henry was the son of the late Michael and Effie Coffey. He is survived by his children: Grace Coffey Clark, Durham, NC, Henry J. Coffey Jr., Nashville, TN, Cynthia Coffey Powell, Waterville Valley, NH, and Elizabeth Coffey-Curle, Reno, NV. Henry was grandfather/Poppy to Benjamin, Elizabeth and Jonathan Clark, all of Washington, DC; Colleen Coffey-Melchiorre, Nashville, TN; Charles Powell, Waitsfield, VT; William Powell, NYC; Catherine and Elizabeth Powell, Waterville Valley, NH; Tyler and Cynthia Curle, Reno NV.
