WORCESTER - A fight at North High School on Thursday morning left one student in the hospital and another in handcuffs.

According to the Worcester police log, police arrested 17-year-old David W. Rivera Jr. of 49 Providence St., Apt. 2, Thursday morning at the school and charged him with aggravated assault and battery resulting in serious bodily injury and disturbing a school. Robert F. Pezzella, the Worcester public schools' executive assistant to the superintendent on school safety and violence prevention, did not want to confirm the aggressor's identity but said one student attacked another from behind about 9 a.m. in the time between classes.
