MARLBORO - Authorities have identified the victims of yesterday morning's double fatal accident on the Route 85 Connector as Michael A. Kaminksi, 60, of Oxford, and Adam L. Richard, 34, of Hudson.

Mr. Richard, who town officials said lived at 124 Manning St. Apt. 1, was not wearing a seat belt when the crash happened at 8:29 a.m.

The crash happened on the connector, near Fitchburg Street. The connector is an extension of Interstate 290 that links Interstate 495 and Route 85. Three cars and a truck were involved - two of the vehicles collided head-on. There is no barrier dividing the two directions of travel in the area of the crash.

Mr. Richard was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mr. Kaminksi was taken to Marlboro Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Police are not sure if he was wearing a seat belt.

According to the preliminary investigation, Mr. Richard was traveling west on Route 85 in a 2001 Chevrolet Malibu when it crossed into the eastbound lane, clipped the tailgate of an oncoming 2004 box truck, and then collided head-on with a 2006 Ford Taurus driven by Mr. Kaminski, who was traveling east behind the box...
