HUDSON "Iggy", Italo J. Pierozzi, 88, of Hudson, MA and Ft. Myers, Florida, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, surrounded by his loved ones at Bolton Manor Rehabilitation Facility, September 20, 2009.

His first wife Pauline "Polly" (Berard) Pierozzi predeceased him in 1987. He later met and married Mildred "Millie" (Coho) Pierozzi who also predeceased him in 2007. He leaves behind a brother-in-law, Armand Berard of Marlborough; a cousin Elvira Fraschetti of Hudson; and many nieces and nephews.

Iggy moved back to Hudson, Massachusetts in 2008 to make his home with his son and daughter-in-law, Jim Pierozzi and his wife MaryLou and their son Anthony. He also leaves a son, Dennis Pierozzi and his wife, Maria and granddaughter Alicia, of Centerville, MA.

Born in Clinton, MA, he was the son of Albert and Elvira (Fraschetti) Pierozzi. He was raised and educated in Hudson and as a young man worked as a laborer in the former factories of Hudson.

During World War II, he served our country in the United States Marine Corp. for which he was very proud. He served overseas from 1942 and was honorably discharged in 1945.

Following the war, Iggy was employed by Simard Plumbing and Heating, where he learned his trade. He later became a Master Plumber and established his own business in Hudson...
