CLINTON - Irene J. (Zona) O'Malley, of Greeley Hill, Clinton, passed away early Monday, May 20, 2013, surrounded by family. She is survived by her three sons & their wives, James & Christine of Clinton, Mark & Sharon of Methuen and Stephen & Diane of Leominster. She leaves 8 grandchildren, Patrick, Nicholas & wife Jillian, Casey, Adam & wife Jen, Allison, Kevin, William & Emily O'Malley. She leaves two "daughters", Judy Clark & Barbara Ranieri; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 52 years, William J. O'Malley, three siblings, William & Ida Zona and Bruna Gorn and her lifelong friend, Evangeline "Babe" Ranieri.

Irene was born in Kingston, MA, daughter of the late Giuseppe "Joe" and Teresa (Cavalini) Zona. Shortly after marrying her husband, she moved to Clinton, where she resided for the past 65 years and was employed as a sales clerk at various retail stores in town while raising her three sons. Irene was an extremely talented artist, decorating her families' homes with her work. She also loved reading and developing friendships with the Clinton librarians during her visits.
