J. Philip Bouvier O.D.

WHITINSVILLE J. Philip Bouvier O.D., 94, of 47 Hillview Lane died Fri., Sept. 30, 2011 after an illness. He is survived by his wife of 45 years M. Doris (Blouin) Bovier; 3 daughters, Ann Marie Bouvier of Hudson, NH, Phyllis M. Demers of Manchester, NH, and Mary P. Bouvier of S. Portland, ME; 2 grandchildren, Kathleen Demers of Boston and Raymond Demers of Silver Spring, MD; and several nephews and nieces. He was brother of the late Simone Rainville, Gabrielle "Gibby" Turner, and Dr. John Bouvier. He was predeceased by his first wife, Mary D. (Mahan) Bouvier who died in 1965. Born in Whitinsville on Aug. 17, 1917 he was the son of Dr. Joseph Peter and Eva (Ledoux) Bouvier and lived in Whitinsville his entire life.

Dr. Bouvier owned and operated his own Optometry practice on Cross. St. in Whitinsville for 47 years retiring when he was 65. He was a graduate of St. John's High School in Worcester and New England College of Optometry in Boston. He was a member of...
