Jacques 'Jake' A. Boilard, 75.

SOUTHBRIDGE Jacques "Jake" A. Boilard, 75, of Southbridge, died Saturday, July 16, 2011 at the UMASS Memorial Healthcare Center, University Campus, following a long illness. He was the husband of Louise (Tanca) Boilard, to whom he was married to for over 53 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Susan E. Bellerose and her husband William of Shrewsbury; two sons, Michael J. Boilard and his wife Michelle of Brimfield, and Peter J. Boilard and his wife Jennifer of Southbridge. He leaves four grandchildren, Billy and Lauren Bellerose of Shrewsbury, Brittany Boilard of Southbridge, and Jake Boilard of Brimfield; two nephews and a niece in New Hampshire; and two Godchildren in Hartford, CT. He was predeceased by a brother, Roger Boilard.

He was born in Sherbrooke, P.Q., Canada on September 19, 1935, and was the son of the late Adolphe and Florence (LaCroix) Boilard.

Jake lived in Southbridge for most of his life and attended Cole Trade High School and Worcester Trade. He worked as a foreman for many years at the Southbridge Sheet Metal Works before retiring in 1997. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War, and then served in the Naval Reserve.
