SHREWSBURY - James M. McLellan, 84, of Shrewsbury, formerly of Marlboro, died Oct. 10, at St. Francis House.

He was born in Somerville, son of the late John and Florence (Chisholm) McLellan.

He graduated from Marlborough High School in 1942.

He joined the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II and retired as an U.S. Air Force lieutenant colonel in 1969, having also served in Korea and during the cold war. He was awarded Distinguished Flying Cross with Oak Cluster and four air medals.

He is survived by two sons, James McLellan of Burke, Va. and John McLellan of Topsham, Maine; a daughter Kathy Plunkett of Holidaysburg, Pa.; two brothers, Neil D. McLellan of Rutland and Charles McLellan of Marlboro; two...
