Jazz musician Marsalis cancels Venezuela show amid political tensions.

BOGOTA, Colombia -- American jazz trumpeter Wynton Marsalis is scratching a concert in Venezuela at a time of rising tensions that are making it harder for U.S. citizens to travel to the South American country.

Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra were scheduled to perform Friday in Caracas and conduct workshops with the country's El Sistema network of youth ensembles.
