WEST BOYLSTON - Jeannette M. (Smith) Nichols, 88, formerly of Spruce Street in Clinton, died Sunday, March 2, at Radius Healthcare Center in Worcester.

Her husband of 54 years, Arthur "Tootie" Nichols, passed away in 2007. She leaves three children, Marion E. Hardwick of Garden City, Kan., Arthur T. Nichols Jr. of Ocala, Fla., and Bruce A. Nichols of West Boylston; five grandchildren, Eric, Amy, Becki, Adam and Ryan; two great-granddaughters, Darbi and Ember. She also leaves her brother, Wallace Smith and sister, Rita Rodriquenz of Fitchburg; nephews and nieces. Her sister Evelyn Bonner and two brothers, Emil and Francis Smith predeceased her.

She was born in Fitchburg, daughter of Harrison and M. Laura (Gingras) Smith. She was a retired upholstery worker and housewife. A quiet woman, she enjoyed bowling, square dancing, attending church...
