BOLTON "Joe" Norman Reid Babcock, passed away on Dec. 28th in his home on Old Bay Road in Bolton. "Joe" leaves his wife of 53 years, Margaret J. (Johnston) Babcock. Dad leaves his three children, Susan Therrien and her husband David of Berlin, Norman Paul Babcock and his wife Colleen of Templeton and Dawn Babcock of Bolton. "Papa" leaves his five grandchildren, Joshua and Whitney Therrien and Zachary, Ryan, and Jacob Babcock. He also leaves his two brothers, Robert Babcock of Cape Cod and Phillip Babcock of Arizona. He was predeceased by his brothers, Irvin and Neal Babcock.

Mr. Babcock was born in Clinton, MA, son of the late Charles J. and Marjorie (Tansey) Babcock. He was a lifelong resident of Bolton, he attended the school system in town, and graduated from Hudson High School in 1952. Norman worked as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement in 1998 for the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local #4, his passion for machinery always continued.
