AUBURN John D. Sullivan, formerly of Auburn, died peacefully in New York on December 26, 2010, at 93, after a long and wonderful life; and is now back with the love of his life, his wife, Peggy.

He leaves his son, John D. Sullivan, Jr. and his wife, Diane of Middleboro, MA; his son Daniel G. Sullivan of Sarasota, FL; and daughter, Rosemary Sullivan Zins of Merrick, NY. He also leaves his four grandsons: John D, Sullivan III, James D. Sullivan, Kevin P. Sullivan and Daniel John Sullivan; as well as five beautiful great-granddaughters.

John was born in Auburn, was a member of the first graduating class of Auburn High School, and returned to Auburn to start a family and make it his home after serving as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II, having been stationed in Puerto Rico and British Guyana. He built a house at 451 Oxford Street, next to his parents, and made it a loving home for his wife, Peggy, and his three children.
