Leominster 19, Shrewsbury 4

Nick Rocheleau drove in five runs, highlighted by a three-run double in the third inning, as the host Blue Devils (4-5) upset the third-ranked Colonials (10-4) yesterday at Doyle Field.

Derrick Boucher also had a big day for Leominster, going 3 for 3 with 2 homers, 4 RBIs and 4 runs.

Wachusett 12, Fitchburg 2

The sixth-ranked Mountaineers (7-4, 4-2) clubbed three home runs, two of them in a six-run fifth inning that turned their Mid-Wach A game into a rout.

With Wachusett leading, 5-2, senior DH Rich Pedone (2 for 3) connected for a three-run shot in the big inning, and senior right fielder Derek Ingui added a two-run blast. Senior left fielder Keith Bates (3 for 4) had a two-run homer earlier.

David Ptak had a home run, double and two RBIs for the visiting Red Raiders (4-7, 2-4).

Clinton 23, Murdock 7

Kyle Grady had four hits, including a grand slam and double, and knocked in seven runs for the seventh-ranked Gaels (10-1, 7-0 Mid Wach C) in Winchendon. Chriss Soldi had two homers and three RBIs and Pat Dyer four hits and four RBIs.

Travis Champagne homered for the Blue Devils (4-5, 3-4).

Marlboro 2, Westboro 1

Wes Russell's double drove in Lane Garvey in the bottom of the eighth inning to lift the fifth-ranked Panthers (9-2, 6-0) at home in a Mid-Wach B game that featured only five hits.

The Rangers (4-4, 2-3) scored first when Taylor Allen brought in Alex Dion with a sacrifice fly in the second inning. Marlboro tied it in the fifth when Garvey singled home Ryan Fahey, who was hit by a pitch.

Andy Bower went the distance for Westboro, striking out 11 and giving up three hits. Garrett Butt pitched all eight innings for Marlboro, allowing two hits and no walks while fanning seven.

Northbridge 10, Uxbridge 9

Craig Bedigian had a two-run single in the seventh inning that gave the visiting Rams (10-2) the win. Tyler Bennett added two hits and Jarrod Stuczynsky two RBIs.

Kyle Allaire went 3 for 4 and Nate Forsythe had a two-run homer for the Spartans (7-4).

Tantasqua 9, Quaboag 1

Sophomore Cory Lavallee hurled his third consecutive complete-game victory, allowing six hits while striking out seven for the host Warriors (7-7, 4-2).

Dan Kemp collected two singles, a triple and an RBI, while John Bright added two singles and two stolen bases.
