Leonard D. Baird, 66Clinton - Leonard D. "Lenny" Baird, 66, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, October 28, 2014. He is survived by his two beloved daughters, Heather Messier & companion Christopher Thompson of Lancaster; Jennifer Tierney & husband Timothy of Clinton; four grandchildren, Collin & Owen Messier, Abigail & Timothy Tierney. He leaves his siblings, Joan Marino & husband Joseph, Robert Baird & wife Carla, and Sandra Hisman, all of Clinton; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.Lenny was born in Clinton to the late Wilfred & Dorothy (Meldrun) Baird. He attended local schools, graduated from the Worcester Boys Trade School Class of 1966, and proudly served for many years in the Massachusetts National Guard. Lenny began his career in printing with the Colonial Press and Ware River News before joining the Norton Company in Worcester, from where he ultimately retired after thirty years of employment...
