BOSTON -- Milan Lucic has no intentions of shaking hands with the Canadiens and apologizing.

Lucic has taken a lot of flak for threatening Dale Weise during the handshake line after Montreal won Game 7 of the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs, 3-1, at the TD Garden Wednesday. The Bruins winger reportedly told Weise, "I'm going to (bleeping) kill you next year,'' and also had some choice words for Alexei Emelin.

Lucic remains more upset with the Canadiens for telling the media that he spouted off than with himself for opening his mouth.

"Yeah, it's unfortunate,'' Lucic said Friday while the Bruins cleared out their lockers at the Garden, "especially because what's said on the ice stays on the ice, and unfortunately that code is broken, and it's unfortunate that it blows up to what it is now.

But Lucic insisted he had no regrets, claiming he has kept things clean for the most part in his seven years in Boston.

Lucic said as long as his teammates, coaches, family and fans respect him, he doesn't care what his opponents think of him.

"I can't take back what I said,'' Lucic said. "Like I said, I'm not apologizing for what was said in the handshake, and it's just unfortunate what was said on the ice gets leaked out and gets blown out of proportion.''

Lucic was more bothered with the Bruins' season coming to an end in Game 7 after they posted the NHL's best regular-season record.

"It's been really hard to deal with,'' Lucic said.

"You kind of reminisce about things, especially you look at the season, and you have such a great season, and it ends up this way. It just feels like such a letdown.

"As an athlete here in Boston, your fans, they expect the most out of you, and we felt like we had a team in here to get it done for them, and I think that's almost the worst part -- you let the fans down and you let the city...
