WORCESTER Marie T. (Brophy) Barry, 96, of Worcester, died Friday, December 30, 2011 at St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by her family.

Her husband of 35 years, Francis J. Barry, died in 1974.

She leaves two sons, Paul V. Barry and his partner Toula Koulisis of Worcester, and Philip J. Barry and his wife Ellen of Holden; two daughters, Suzanne M. O'Brien of Miramar, Fla., and Elaine M. Zidonis and her husband James of West Boylston; five grandchildren, Brian, Michael and Timothy Barry, Jeffrey and Tara Zidonis; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Her granddaughter Colleen M. Barry, her daughter-in-law Maureen A. Barry, her brother Paul Brophy and her sister Dorothy Willock predeceased her.

Marie was born in Worcester, daughter of Vincent and Bertha (Hill) Brophy, and lived in Worcester all her life.

She was a graduate of St. Peter's High School and the St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing.

Marie was a registered nurse and did private duty nursing and staff nursing at St. Vincent Hospital for several years. She later worked with her husband at L.A. Hastings Leather Goods...
