Wes Russell's double drove in Lane Garvey in the bottom of the eighth inning to lift the fifth-ranked Panthers (9-2, 6-0) at home in a Mid-Wach B game that featured only five hits.

The Rangers (4-4, 2-3) scored first when Taylor Allen brought in Alex Dion with a sacrifice fly in the second inning. Marlboro tied it in the fifth when Garvey singled home Ryan Fahey, who was hit by a pitch.

Northbridge 10, Uxbridge 9

Craig Bedigian had a two-run single in the seventh that gave the visiting Rams (10-2) the win. Tyler Bennett added two hits and Jarrod Stuczynsky two RBIs.

Kyle Allaire went 3 for 4 and Nate Forsythe had a two-run homer for the Spartans (7-4).

Sutton 3, Douglas 2

Junior Joe McNeil belted the winning RBI single in the fifth inning to lift the Sammies (5-5, 3-5) to a DVC win.

Brian Poudrier had an RBI single for the Tigers (7-4, 5-2).

Hudson Catholic 8, Assabet 1

Senior Joe Manzello got the win with two innings of scoreless relief, striking out three, and went 3 for 4 with three RBIs for the host Green Wave (6-4) against the Aztecs (1-7).

Valley Tech 6, Bay Path 1

Senior right fielder Tyler Riel stroked a two-run single in the top of the first inning, starting the visiting Beavers (8-4, 6-3) toward a Colonial Athletic League win in Charlton.

Nipmuc 2, BMR 1

Designated hitter D.J. Martin belted a two-run triple to left-center after left fielder Brandon Bishop led off the inning with a triple and Derek Marchand walked, giving the Warriors the win over the Chargers.

Maynard 11, West Boylston 4

Ben Peleeki was 4 for 5 with a home run, two RBIs and three runs to lift the Tigers (5-3, 5-2) to a Mid-Wach D road win. Ryan Keaveny added two hits, including a homer, two runs and two RBIs. Jason Tessari went 3 for 5 with two doubles and two RBIs.

Shane Sampson led the Lions (9-3, 4-3) with a 3-for-4 day, including a double, a run scored and a stolen base.

Nashoba 7, Groton-Dunstable 3

No. 9 batter Pete Farragher carried the big bat for the Chieftains (4-7, 2-3) with two doubles and four RBIs in a Mid-Wach B road win. Matt Murray added two hits, two runs and an RBI.

Rick Fotino had a single, an RBI and a run for the Crusaders (3-8, 2-4).

St. John's 8, Holy Name 6

Nick Deprospo had a bases-clearing triple as part of a six-run sixth inning for the top-ranked Pioneers in a road win.

Garrett Smith went 3 for 3 with a pair of doubles for SJ (10-3, 4-1 Central Mass.).
