Shrewsbury 3, Milford 0: Brett Mikolajczyk pitched a five-hit shutout, striking out five, as the visiting Colonials (6-2, 2-0 Mid-Wach A) blanked the fifth-ranked Scarlet Hawks (6-2, 1-1).

Jarrod Casey pitched a five-hitter with five strikeouts for Milford.

Shrewsbury's Mike Coggeshall reached on an error in the second inning and Jay Reynolds (two hits) brought him around with a single to right field. Catcher Peter Ambrose led off the fourth with a double and later scored from third on a suicide squeeze by Billy Theis.

Algonquin 3, North Middlesex 2: Connor Henry reached on an error and scored the winning run on a passed ball as the No. 3 Tomahawks (6-2, 2-1 Mid-Wach A) outlasted the host Patriots (3-5, 0-2) in 12 innings.

Algonquin's Matt Doyle and North Middlesex starter Matt Russell each allowed two runs over 10 innings, while Luke Serra pitched two scoreless innings to pick up the win.

Algonquin right fielder Vik Kozica went 4 for 5 with a double and a run. Kevin Marciano went 2 for 4 with a double and a run for the Patriots.

Auburn 12, Grafton 1: Conner Fuller was 3 for 5 with three RBIs, Tyler Desjardins singled, doubled and scored three runs and Tyler Lamonda hit a two-run homer for the seventh-ranked Rockets (10-1, 8-1 SWCL), who qualified for the Central Mass. Tournament.

Catholic Memorial 4, Holy Name 3: Adam Barry drove in two runs with a double, Brian Paradis added an RBI double and Shamus Malley had two hits, but the visiting Naps (3-6) fell to the Knights (7-3) in West Roxbury.

David Prouty 7, Bartlett 3: Jake Grenier struck out 12, had a double and scored to spark the visiting Panthers (6-4, 5-2 SWCL) past the Indians (3-5, 2-4).

Travis Caron added a two-run triple for David Prouty, while Bartlett's Nick Kobel had a two-run single.

Doherty 2, St. Peter-Marian 1: Noah Robinson was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the bottom of seventh, forcing home the winning run, as the Highlanders (5-5) defeated the sixth-ranked Guardians (6-5).

Sophomore right-hander Luke Brennan fanned eight for the win. Doherty took a 1-0 lead in the fourth when Robinson scored on an errant throw at the plate on a squeeze, but the Guardians tied it in the fifth with Steve Flynn's RBI single.

Douglas 7, Nipmuc 6: The visiting Tigers (9-1, 4-1 Dual Valley) scored a comeback victory as Matt Paladeau (3 hits) singled in Jake Foynes and Eddie Peladeau for the tying and winning runs in the seventh inning.

Scott Hubener went 2 for 5 with an RBI in the loss for the Warriors (6-3, 3-1).
