The Scarlet Hawks are just the latest obstacle standing in the way of the Colonials and their quest to win a Super Bowl and finish undefeated. Shrewsbury's balanced offense starts with quarterback Jawad Yatim, who has a strong arm and is accurate throwing downfield. Yatim has talent on the outside with receivers Paul Tizzano, Michael Okayka and Mohammed Yatim. The X factor is shifty and elusive running back Alex Alvarez. The Colonials proved they were for real after an impressive fourth-quarter comeback to defeat St. John's in Week 4. They've also had nailbiting wins over St. Peter-Marian, Westboro and Marlboro. The Colonials' defense has allowed seven points or fewer in six games. This game will feature two of the area's most dominant senior middle linebackers - Shrewsbury's Shawn Loiseau and Milford's Nick DiAntonio. Milford won going away last year, 34-14, as Shrewsbury couldn't crack the Scarlet Hawks' rock-solid defense until late. Milford, which has suffered tough losses to Marlboro, Algonquin and Leominster this season, relies on junior QB Brendan Casey, senior RB Tom Kane and junior wide receivers Alex Avery and sophomore Brett Kane.
