PITTSFIELD - The Worcester Tornadoes' pitching began the day well in a doubleheader against the Pittsfield Colonials, but could not hold the momentum throughout.

The Tornadoes got a four-hit shutout from Chris Farley in Game 1 to win, 2-0, but then allowed three runs in the second game to fall, 7-3.

Farley struck out three and allowed only four hits over the first seven-inning game to help drop his ERA to 2.42.

He was backed by a solo homer from Gordon Gronkowski and an RBI single by Mark Minicozzi.
