Nancy A.

WORCESTER NancyAnne (Hoey) Gaffney of Worcester, mother of ten, grandmother of twenty, and great-grandmother of eight, died Sunday, July 10, 2011 at the age of 80 in the Rose Monahan Hospice.

Her husband of 57 years, Francis R. Gaffney, died July 11, 2007.

Nancy leaves four sons, William F. Gaffney of Narragansett, RI, James M. Gaffney and his wife Jane A., Robert J. Gaffney and his wife Kathleen M., and Matthew G. Gaffney and his wife Tammy L.; three daughters, Mary E. and her husband Peter F. Sullivan, Anne M. McKenna and Elizabeth M. McTigue, all of Worcester; a brother, John R. Hoey Jr. and his wife Corinne of Shrewsbury; and a sister-in-law, Vivianne R. Gaffney of Worcester.

Nancy leaves 18 grandchildren: Zachary and Abigail Sullivan, Alleigh and Shannan Gaffney, Michael Gaffney and Kelley Prokop, Katie, Nicholas, Francis and Maria Gaffney, Jack McKenna, Daniel and Brendan McTigue, Timothy LaFratta, Brian and Sean Gaffney, and Christopher and Kayla Gaffney; eight great-grandchildren: Daymon Gaffney, Conor and Ryan McTigue, Samuel, Tyler and James Gaffney, Cayden Gaffney and Marina Sullivan. She also leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins.
