ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Navy hit 13 3-pointers last night to down Holy Cross, 75-60, in women's basketball.

"I think sometimes you have to tip your hat to the other team," Holy Cross coach Bill Gibbons said after the loss. "I don't think we played poorly, but Navy played very well."

Navy (10-9, 2-2), which was coming off two tough losses, shot 13 for 29 from beyond the three-point line.

The Crusaders (5-15, 1-3 Patriot League) initially tried to slow down the Midshipmen with a full-court press, but Gibbons credited Navy point guard Angela Myers with handling the pressure well.
