Neal Andrew Heeren.

BOLTON Neal Andrew Heeren, 44, of 139 Sugar Road died Monday, July 18, 2011, after being stricken ill while jogging.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Suzanne M. "Sam" (Souder) Heeren; two sons: John Daniel "Jack" and Michael William Heeren; two daughters: Emily Grace and Kirsten Joy Heeren, and two foster-children: Kiley and Aiden, all at home; three brothers: James Heeren of Manassas, VA, Roger Heeren and his wife, Beth, of Georgetown, TX, and Keith Heeren and his wife, Tammy, of Lee, MA; a sister, Christine Heeren of Idaho Falls, ID; several nieces and nephews.

Neal was born in Waltham, son of the late Vernon and Dorothy (Olson) Heeren and was raised in Wayland. He was a graduate of Wayland High School, Class of 1985; UMass at Amherst, Class of 1989. Neal received his Juris Doctorate from Ohio Northern University in 1992, at which time he and Sam returned to MA, and settled in Bolton in 1993.

Devoted to his family, Neal was equally dedicated to helping those less fortunate. As an attorney in private practice, he specialized in juvenile law and worked for the Worcester County Juvenile Court.
