Norma A. (Patrie) BedardYarmouthport - Norma A. (Patrie) Bedard, 71 of Yarmouthport died Thursday January 29, 2015, surrounded by her loving family, at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis, following a short illness. She was the beloved wife of Gerald "Gerry" F. Bedard for over 51 years. Born in Worcester, Mrs. Bedard was the daughter of the late Norman and Agnes (Lussier) Patrie and the granddaughter of the late Charles and Edna Patrie. A resident of Shrewsbury for over 44 years, Norma worked as the manager of Beaconway Fabrics and Shirley's Sewing Center for many years and also worked as a pharmaceutical technician at Towne Pharmacy and Mayo's Pharmacy. More importantly, Norma was a homemaker who gracefully balanced her work and home life. She was a former Cub Scout Den Leader, and more recently was actively associated with and a supporter of the Worcester County Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America and with the Blue Star Mothers.She loved her family and lived for spending time with them. She was a wonderful and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting, creating floral arrangements, shopping and shoes. Norma loved to travel and was fortunate to sail on numerous wonderful cruises, visit many of our National Parks, as well as Hawaii, Alaska and Italy. Those fortunate to know...
