OXFORD - Selectmen voted March 27 not to accept the Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission's ruling that overturned a board decision Oct. 4.

On that date, selectmen voted to temporarily pull the liquor licenses of seven establishments, including Days End Tavern at 287 Main St., which allegedly sold alcohol to a minor during a police compliance check.

Selectman Henry J. LaMountain said, "I am personally inclined to deny the ABCC decision. They said there was a problem with the process and overturned our decision."

Selectman John G. Saad said, "We were consistent. We treated this like any other violator."
