RUTLAND Peter D. MacIver, 60, of River Rd., after a long and courageous struggle with prostate cancer, died Wednesday, April 30, 2008, in his home, surrounded by loving family and friends.

He leaves his wife of 39 years, Elizabeth A. (Gaskell) MacIver; his daughter, Diana L. MacIver of Worcester; 2 brothers, Kenneth F. MacIver and his wife Nan of Winchester, Brian H. MacIver, his wife Pam and daughter Valerie all of Lexington; his aunt, Evelyn Millane, of Lexington; 2 sisters-in-law, Susan Gaskell of Reading, Janet Enos and her husband Russ of Plymouth; several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was born in Concord, son of the late Kenneth F. and Doris G. (Ahman) MacIver. He graduated from Burlington High School in Burlington, MA, attended the University of Massachusetts, and served in the United States Army Reserves. He lived in Eliot, Maine before moving here in 1983.
