Philomena P. Lata 1925-2013.

LUDLOW - Philomena (Pierog) Lata, 88, formerly of White St., Ludlow died Saturday, April 6, 2013 in the Masonic Overlook Care Center of Charlton, MA.

Born in the Thompsonville section of Enfield, CT on March 21, 1925, daughter of the late Wladyslaw and Aniela (Tabor) Pierog. Educated in local schools, she was a 1942 graduate of Enfield High School. A Communicant of Christ the King Church, she had worked as a secretary for Monsanto Chemical Company for many years. She was the widow of Edward T. Lata, who died July 8, 2006.

She is survived by he children, Paul M. Lata and his wife Deborah of Westfield, MA and Laura L. Coughlin and her husband James of North Grafton, MA. Grandmother of Nicolas Lata, Jonathan Coughlin and Kate Coughlin. Sister of Helen Banis of Enfield, CT and Wanda Lamana of Sharon, MA. Also survived by extended family members and friends. Sadly, she was predeceased by siblings Matthew, Ernest and Alvin "Chic" Pierog and Stella and Lotilda.
