Phyllis R. (Ryan) MacDonaldWestminster - Phyllis R. (Ryan) MacDonald, 94, died Sunday, March 30, 2014, at Heywood Hospital after a brief illness.Phyllis was the loving wife of 51 years to the late James R. MacDonald, who died November 17, 1994. Phyllis leaves her two daughters, Marcia E. Mattoon of Westminster, with whom she lived, and Marilyn A. MacDonald of Atlanta, GA, two grandchildren, Rob Mattoon of Gladstone, MI, and Laura D'Amore of Weymouth, four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Eleanor McNulty and Ruth Tolman, and one brother, Edward Ryan. Phyllis was born in Harvard, on April 3, 1919, a daughter of the late George and Minnie (Sampson) Ryan. She graduated from the Bromfield Academy in1938, and from Becker College in 1940.
