Becker 3, Southern Vermont 2: Senior forward Caroline Plunkett scored two goals in a span of 36 seconds in the first half, including her 25th of the season that was the eventual game-winner, as the Hawks won their NECC tournament quarterfinal against the Mountaineers (11-5-2) in Leicester.

Becker will play at top-seeded Lesley in a semifinal at 8 p.m. tomorrow.

Southern Vermont took the lead in the 17th minute, but freshman Jaclyn Orangio of Maynard pulled Becker even with an unassisted goal at 22:09.

Babson 3, Clark 1: Freshman Liz Cumberbatch scored on a penalty kick in the 64th minute but the fifth-seeded Cougars (9-9-1) lost to the fourth-seeded Beavers (9-8-2) in a NEWMAC tournament quarterfinal at Babson Park.

Babson will travel to Springfield to face the top-seeded Pride in a semifinal at noon Saturday.

Merrimack 1, Franklin Pierce 0: Sophomore forward Katie Bresciani of Hopedale scored on a breakaway with just over two minutes left in overtime to lift the fourth-seeded Warriors (11-7-1) past the fifth-seeded Ravens (11-7-1) in a Northeast-10 tournament quarterfinal in North Andover.

Bridgewater State 2, Worcester State 1: Despite a late goal by junior Brendan Whitson of Auburn, the fifth-seeded Lancers (4-11-2) fell to the fourth-seeded Bears (9-8-1) in a MASCAC tournament quarterfinal at Bridgewater.

Whitson hauled in a long pass from classmate Alex Wolfel and scored a breakaway goal in the 65th minute to pull Worcester State within a goal.

The teams had played to a double-overtime scoreless draw on Sept. 22 in Bridgewater.

The Lancers went 2-1-1 in their last four league games to make the tournament.

Bridgewater State will take on top-seeded Salem State in a semifinal at 7 p.m. tomorrow.

Franklin Pierce 3, Bentley 0: Graduate forward Ryan Ruffing of Westboro gave the visiting Ravens (11-4-2) the lead in the 59th minute, and they added three second-half goals to defeat the Falcons (10-5-2) in a Northeast-10 tournament quarterfinal in Waltham.

Franklin Pierce will play in a semifinal tomorrow at Merrimack.

Westfield State 1, Fitchburg State 0: Senior Jon Principato scored in the 24th minute and the third-seeded Owls (8-9-1) hung on to defeat the sixth-seeded Falcons (5-11-2) in a MASCAC tournament quarterfinal in Westfield.

Westfield State will play a semifinal at Framingham State at 2 p.m. tomorrow.
