Priscilla C. Austin, 63.

HOLDEN Priscilla C. Austin, 63, beloved wife of Murray A. Kohn, died peacefully after a yearlong battle with cancer, in her home on Tuesday, December 7, 2010. Besides her husband of twelve years, she is survived by her brother, David J. Austin and his wife Patricia, niece Elisabeth Austin and nephew, Michael Austin of Overland Park, Kansas; her sister-in-law, Harriet Kohn and brother-in-law, Jack Rockafellow, and niece, Jaime Rockafellow of Dobbs Ferry, NY; and many wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Priscilla was born in Mineola, New York the daughter of Waldo E. and Eleanor C. (Johnson) Austin and has lived in Holden for many years. She graduated from Wachusett Regional High School in 1964. She attended Colby College, Waterville, Maine, from 1964 to 1968 where she studied linguistics. She received her MBA from Simmons Graduate School of Management in Boston in 1990.

Priscilla was an administrative assistant for Northeastern University School of Law. Previously, she had worked as an administrative assistant for both Nixon & King Law Offices in Boston and the Genetics Institute in Cambridge.

A classically-trained soprano, Priscilla was very active in the Boston Choral Music Community in the 1970s, '80s, and '90s, performing as a recital soloist and as a member of many prominent ensembles, including the Old South Church...
