It's been years since West Boylston played for something on Thanksgiving besides bragging rights, but Dave Tinglof's Lions can clinch a winning season with a victory. And while that may not seem like much, it would be quite an accomplishment for a team that finished 0-11 last season and 1-10 the year before. In fact, West Boylston's season might have been extended beyond this week if not for losses to Littleton, Ayer and Hudson by an average of one touchdown. The WB is led by backs Paul Lindberg, Shane Sampson and Rob Demarco, while quarterback Matt Polnerow is a threat to run or pass. Yes, the Lions have shed the underdog label, but don't expect the Panthers to go down without a fight. Last year, Quabbin forced WB to fumble on its first two plays, which led to a pair of quick TDs for the Panthers. Quabbin has only one win this season, but it plays in the tough D2 West. Quabbin is led by QB Joe Whitney, whose favorite target is Matt Jurczyk. When the Panthers run, Jordan Keller gets the bulk of the carries.
