BOYS' HOCKEY

Lunenburg 2, Nashoba 1: Tom Wagner and Pat Brennan scored in a span of 23 seconds early in the third period to lift the host Blue Knights (5-1-1, 3-1-0 Coughlin) over the fifth-ranked Chieftains (6-1-1, 5-1-1) at Wallace Civic Center.

Hunter Boudreau scored at 10:55 of the second period to give Nashoba the lead. Wagner tied it at 3:00, and Brennan got the winner at 3:23.

Grafton 5, North Middlesex 3: Mike Moran had a hat trick while Cory Hetu had a goal and an assist to lift the visiting Indians (6-2, 3-1 Coughlin) at Wallace Civic Center.

Jared Vadenais added a goal for Grafton. Dan McNamara scored twice for the Patriots (2-5, 1-4), while Ryan McCarthy had two assists.

Fitchburg 3, St. Bernard's 3: Ryan Boucher and Josh Emma scored in the third period to give the Red Raiders a tie.

Fitchburg put 23 shots on St. Bernard's goalie Josh Goliber in the third period to rally for the tie. Zach Cormier scored in the first period.

Casey Downs, Ethan Schlegel and Brandon Ecklund scored for the Bernardians.

Littleton 2, Tyngsboro 2: Kyle Gauthier and Dakota Redding scored at 5:32 and 9:34 of the third period to earn visiting Tyngsboro (1-4-1, 0-3-1) a Russell Conference tie at Groton School.

Emmet Norton and David Peterson gave Littleton (0-6-1, 0-2-1) a 2-0 lead.

Longmeadow 2, Hudson 2: Senior John Dutney had a goal and assist while senior Shane Barry made 22 saves as the visiting Hawks (1-3-3) tied the Lancers (4-3-1).

Mitch Dube added a goal for Hudson.

St. John's 5, Archbishop Williams 5: Freshman right wing Jared Weatherby scored a pair of third-period goals to erase a one-goal deficit and give the host Pioneers (2-5-1) a tie at HC's Hart Center.

Junior defenseman Bryan Nelson had a goal and an assist for St. John's, which also got goals from juniors Kevin Connelly and Dan Barlok and 31 saves from junior co-captain Mario Pizzeri.

Worcester 9, Assabet 0: Junior Brian Curley had two goals and three assists and senior Michal Tisell scored twice to lead the host Wildcats (6-1, 5-0 Russell) at Buffone Rink.

Tyler Miller (five saves) and freshman Tyler Spaulding (seven) combined on the shutout. Christopher Lazaros made 30 saves for the Aztecs (0-7, 0-2).

BOYS' BASKETBALL

South Lancaster 55, North Brookfield 42: Senior center Adam Gagnon scored 13 of his game-high 20 points in the first half and added 15 rebounds and two blocks to lead the host Crusaders (5-1, 5-0 WCAC).
