CLINTON Ralph W. Schreiner, 90, of Cromie St., passed away Monday, November 30, 2009 at the Life Care Center of Auburn after a brief illness. He is survived by a son, Richard Schreiner of Clinton; a daughter, Jean Marhefka and her husband Frank of Auburn; a daughter-in-law, Janet Schreiner of Holden; seven grandchildren, Frank Marhefka and his wife Elaine of Barrington, NH; Brian Marhefka of Leominster; William Marhefka of Auburn; Amy Schreiner of Worcester; Elizabeth Schreiner of Holden; Lauren and Derek Schreiner of Rutland, VT; several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Regina (Kosiewski) Schreiner, and a son, Dr. Robert Schreiner.

Ralph was born in Clinton to the late Jacob and Margaret (Fischer) Schreiner and was a lifelong resident. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Clinton High School. He proudly enlisted in the United States Army, where he served as Staff Sergeant and Aerial Gunnery Instructor for B-24 Bombers during WWII. Upon his return, Ralph began a forty year career with the former Colonial Press in Clinton until its closing, ultimately retiring as Proof Room Supervisor. He...
