NORTHBOROUGH Raymond D. Libby, 85, of Northborough, died Tuesday, February 17, 2009 in UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester following an illness.

Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Ruth A. (Carr) Libby; two sons, Roger D. Libby of Northborough and Richard D. Libby and his wife, Roseanna, of Shrewsbury; two daughters, Rae Libby of Millbury and Robin T. Libby of Worcester; a sister, Virginia Peters of Worcester; as well as four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. His son, Donald Libby died in 1966. Born and raised in Worcester, Ray was the son of the late Raymond D. and Mildred (Hallberg) Libby. He has been a resident of Northborough for 52 years.

Ray was a veteran who served in the Navy during WW II in the Pacific Theater.

Ray worked for the Sealtest Ice Cream Division of Kraft Foods in Portland, ME and Framingham for 41 years before retiring in 1986. He was active with the Northborough Boy Scouts for 20 years and served as a Eucharistic Minister...
