HARWICH - Rita E. Duffy Pervier, 91, of Harwich, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at her home. Rita was born July 8, 1920 at Duffy's Lake Pearl Hotel in Wrentham, MA, the daughter of Walter E. and Joan E. Ryan Duffy. Rita grew up on Lake Pearl and lived in West Brookfield, Northboro and Falmouth, MA before coming to live with her daughter in Stonington, CT and Harwich. Rita graduated from Emmanuel College in 1942 and received her Master's Degree at Boston University. She was looking forward to her 70th college reunion at Emmanuel in June. Rita was a science teacher in West Brookfield, MA and Southboro, MA and after her retirement she worked part time at Honeywell in North-boro, MA. She married the late Robert H. Pervier on October 4, 1947 at Saint Mary's Church in Wrentham. Rita is survived by her two children, Martha Wicks of Harwich and Stephen Pervier and his wife Karen of Boxboro, MA; her grandchildren, Kelli Wicks Gerard and her husband, Mark, of Dallas, TX, Meg Wicks of New York City and Benjamin Pervier of Boxboro; one great grandson, Ryan Gerard of Dallas; her sister, Mary Ann Duffy Ginnerty and...
