Rita F. Maynard, 86Worcester - Rita F. (Paulin) Maynard, 86, of Worcester died peacefully early Wednesday morning, March 11th, after a long illness.She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Paul E. Maynard in 2011 and by her daughter, Linda in 1960. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Emory and her husband Linton "Skip" of Woodbridge, NJ; and Jane Maynard and her husband James Treyens of Tacoma, WA; her grandchildren, Richard Emory of North Brunswick, NJ, Matthew Emory and his wife Meredith of Houston, TX, Michael Emory and his partner James Ronald Whitney of Palm Springs, CA, Daniel Menten of Arcata, CA, and Rebecca Menten of San Rafael, CA; two sisters, Eva M. Reidy and her husband Paul of Sutton, and Jean C. Paulin of Worcester; and her brother George E. Paulin and his wife Judith of Worcester. Rita was born in Worcester, the daughter of Joseph E. Paulin and Mary F. (Murray) Paulin. After graduating from North High School, she completed the diploma nursing program at Memorial Hospital in Worcester. Rita lived in Southbridge and worked for close to 40 years as a registered nurse, primarily at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge in Pediatrics. After she and Paul retired, they moved to Worcester.She enjoyed doing housework, gardening, decorating, painting and walking. She was a voracious reader.
