BASEBALL

Holy Cross 6, Quinnipiac 4: With one out in the ninth inning yesterday, senior John Sills hit a two-run single to right field to lift the visiting Crusaders (4-7) past the Bobcats (0-12).

Sills went 2 for 4 with three RBIs, while Jack Laurendeau added two hits and two runs for Holy Cross.

Matt Perry followed Sills in the ninth with a RBI-double to give the Crusaders an insurance run.

Curry 9-16, Anna Maria 1-5: Mike Guarnieri had two hits, including an RBI triple, while former Wachusett standout Jeff Kodys added two hits and two runs in the second game as the AmCats (5-5, 1-3 Commonwealth Coast) dropped a doubleheader to the Colonels (7-5, 4-0) at WPI.

Jim McNamara singled in Anna Marian's run in the first game.

Stonehill 4-5, Assumption 2-3: Drew Dembkowski went 4 for 6 with a double and a RBI for the Greyhounds (10-8) as they dropped a doubleheader to the Skyhawks (7-5) in Worcester.

Derek Migrants and Frank Flynn each had two hits and a run in the second game for Assumption.

Trevor Lawson and Migrants each had a RBI single in the opener.

SOFTBALL

Becker 16-9, Green Mountain 5-0: Felicia Laufer went 4 for 7 with two doubles, a home run and two RBIs as the Hawks (2-8) swept in a doubleheader over the Eagles (0-2) in Leicester.

In the first game, Rachel Weidele collected five hits, three runs and a RBI, while Lesley Whitney went 3 for 4 with two RBIs and two runs for Becker.
