McDonald, 21, of 127 Pleasant St., Southbridge, was sentenced to a term in the Worcester County Jail and House of Correction after pleading guilty to animal cruelty charges, including killing a cat in Webster. Because of a reporting error, he was incorrectly identified as James M. McDonald in a story in Saturday's Telegram & Gazette. ------------------- WORCESTER - A Southbridge man who killed a cat by banging its head against a wall, and then put another cat in a freezer, was sentenced to jail yesterday after pleading guilty in Superior Court. James (SEE CORRECTION) M. McDonald, 21, of 127 Pleasant St., pleaded guilty to killing, maiming or poisoning a domestic animal, and cruelty to an animal. He was sentenced to 2-1/2 years in the Worcester County Jail and House of Correction, West Boylston.
