Sr. Sophia Wanda M. Stapor (S.M. Ligouria).

ENFIELD, CT Sr. Sophia Wanda M. Stapor (S.M. Ligouria), died on Friday (September 30, 2011) at the age of 96 in Holy Family Infirmary at the Provincial House of the Felician Sisters, Enfield, CT. Sister was a member of the Felician Sisters for 79 years. Sr. Sophia entered the Felician Sisters Community in Lodi, NJ in 1928 and transferred to Enfield, CT in 1934. She was principal and taught in schools staffed by the Felician Sisters in New England and eastern New York. In Connecticut at St. Gabriel, Windsor, SS Cyril and Methodius Hartford, St. Bernard School and Our Lady of the Angels Academy, Enfield and Enfield Children's Day Care Center, also worked in religious education programs and served as organist in many parishes.
