Doherty 8, Notre Dame 1: Freshman Payton Sylvester went 2 for 4 with two doubles and an RBI and recorded the complete-game win to lead the Highlanders (4-1) over the host Rebels (3-3). Senior Delaney Sylvester, Payton's sister, went 2 for 2 with a double and two RBIS, including her 100th and 101st career hit. Mackenzie Doherty was 3 for 5 and drove in two runs for Doherty.

Brooke Ames was 3 for 3 with an RBI and Luccia Feraco went 2 for 3 for Notre Dame.

Douglas 13, Whitinsville Christian 12: Hannah Furno was 4 for 5 with two doubles and three RBIs and scored the winning run on a two-out single in the bottom of the seventh by Rebecca Gagnon for the host Tigers (3-3, 2-2 DVC). Kayla Lightbown was 4 for 5 with three stolen bases and three runs for Douglas, which battled back from deficits of 7-3, 9-5 and 11-7.

Grace May was 3 for 5 with two RBIs and Morgan Vander Baan 2 for 5 with a three-run homer for the Crusaders (1-3, 0-3).

Grafton 18, Uxbridge 0: Olivia DeFreitas had two singles and three RBIs and Michelle Goulet had a three-run double as the No. 2 Indians (6-0, 5-0 SWCL) upended the host Spartans (1-4).

Oxford 2, Tantasqua 0: Callie Andrews, who also stole second, and Jamie Brodeur both singled and scored on fielder's choices in the first inning to back the five-hit, eight-strikeout pitching of junior Evelyn Marquis, who hurled her first varsity shutout for the host Pirates (5-2, 5-1 SWCL).

Holy Name 13, St. Bernard's 0: Senior Kelsey Saucier tossed a one-hitter, striking out 13, and sophomore Danielle Rocheleau drove in five runs as the top-ranked Naps (3-0, 1-0 Central Mass. Conference) beat the visiting Bernardians (0-3, 0-2) in a mercy-rule game. Rocheleau had a bases-loaded triple to key a five-run first inning, then doubled home two runs in the third.

Hailey Droogan singled in the fourth inning to break up the no-hitter for St. Bernard's.

Algonquin 5, Marlboro 2: Baylee Burns' double and Allie Courtwright's sacrifice fly highlighted a four-run rally in the third inning and Courtwright pitched a three-hitter as the Tomahawks (5-1, 2-0 Midland) topped the No. 10 Panthers (2-2, 0-2) in Northboro.

Leominster 9, Shrewsbury 8: The visiting Blue Devils (4-1, 2-0 Midland A) snapped an 8-8 tie in the top of the seventh when senior Nicole Duplease (2 for 4, RBI, run) -- who will sign a letter of intent today to attend Assumption College -- drew the third walk of the inning with the bases loaded to score Mia Pare and beat the third-ranked Colonials (4-2, 0-2). Lexie Maldonado was 2 for 3 with an RBI double for Leominster.

Erin LeMay had two singles and scored twice and Jacqueline Kenney went 2 for 4 with an RBI double for Shrewsbury, which lost its second in a row.

Hudson 20, Fitchburg 7: Haley Gaffney went 4 for 5 with a homer and a triple and Stephanie Hamilton went 4 for 4 with a triple and double to power the visiting...
