Walter S. Norton, Jr.

GRAFTON/WESTBOROUGH Walter S. Norton Jr., 78, Of Grafton and formerly of Westborough passed away on Sunday, July 17, in St Vincent Hospital surrounded by his family and friends after a brief illness. Born in Worcester, MA to the late Phyllis E. (Tappan) and Walter S. Norton, he was raised in Westborough, MA. Walter shared the last 21 years with his dear companion, Dianne Deuitch. Walter graduated from Westborough High School in 1951 and was an Army Korean War veteran. A committed, active member of AA for 29 years, he was also an avid sportsmen and longtime member of the North Grafton Fish, Game and Bird Club. Walter enjoyed traveling and investigating his family genealogy. He was employed as an inspector and office employee at Bay State Abrasives Company in Westborough for over 30 years. He is survived by his former wife Sheila (Lescord) Norton and their children: W. Stephen Norton and his wife Cindy of Grafton, Peter A. Norton and his wife Linda of Northborough, William K Norton and his wife Giselle of Oxford, Wendy L Shaughnessy and her husband Robert of Hudson and Thomas E.
