DIVISION 1

Westboro 54, Marlboro 40: With 6-1/2 minutes left in the game, third-seeded Westboro went on a 17-3 run to break a 37-37 tie and advance to the semifinals with a quarterfinal win over the visiting Panthers.

Westboro (18-3) will play Shepherd Hill at 6 p.m. Monday at WPI in the semifinals.

The Rangers led 17-8 after the first quarter, but sixth-seeded Marlboro (12-9) chipped away at the lead and trailed , 23-22, at halftime.

Leah Murphy scored 24 points and had 11 rebounds for Westboro.

Emily Reilly led the Panthers with 17 points.

BOYS' BASKETBALL

Division 2

Clinton 60, Uxbridge 50: Freshman Kyle Cutler hit four 3-pointers, including one with 1:07 left that gave the sixth-seeded Gaels (13-8) the lead for good in a quarterfinal win over the third-seeded Spartans (15-7) in Uxbridge.

Senior point guard Cody Trautner had 13 points and four steals, Sergio Colon added seven points and 11 rebounds and Adam Zelent finished with 12 points and nine rebounds for Clinton, which will play Millbury in a semifinal at 6 p.m. Tuesday at WPI.

Freshman Mark DeVries hit five 3-pointers and sophomore Corey Gomes scored 14 points for Uxbridge.

Groton-Dunstable 71, St. Bernard's 52: Senior captains Derek McCaffrey and Ryan Romich led the top-seeded Crusaders over the ninth-seeded Bernardians in a quarterfinal win in Groton.

McCaffrey had 21 points and seven assists, and Romich had 18 points and 13 rebounds for Groton-Dunstable (19-4), which will face Northbridge in a semifinal at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday at WPI.

Senior John Henault scored 13 points for St. Bernard's (12-10).

Millbury 80, Bartlett 66: Senior center Tim Swenson had 24 points and 18 rebounds, and senior guard Ryan O'Leary had 21 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists for the second-seeded Woolies (17-5), who led, 21-8, after one quarter in a quarterfinal victory in Millbury.

Freshman Mike Woll and O'Leary each hit three 3-pointers. Woll scored eight points in the first quarter.

Jamal Carlson (20 points), Bob Mitchell (15 points) and Nick Kobel (14 points) each hit a pair of 3-pointers for the Indians (10-8). Shaheem Torres scored 15 points for Bartlett, but only two in the second half.

Millbury will play sixth-seeded Clinton in the semifinals at 6 p.m. Tuesday at WPI.

Northbridge 63, Nipmuc 57: Senior Casey Hippert had 19 points for the fifth-seeded Rams (14-7) in a quarterfinal win over the fourth-seeded Warriors (14-7).
